ADHD Support
Practical support to help you thrive; with tools tailored for our brains
You might be juggling a thousand tabs in your mind, feel like you’re dropping the ball on things that matter to you, or swinging between bursts of energy and total overwhelm. Maybe you've been told you're "just disorganised" or "need to try harder." You're doing your best, and you're tired of pushing through.
ADHD support counselling with me is about finding what works for you.
Not one-size-fits-all strategies or unrealistic to-do lists. Real support, from someone who gets that we need a different approach.
What We Might Work On
This isn’t about fixing you. It’s about supporting you in exploring and building confidence in how you work best, and giving you space to practice new ways of being.
We might explore:
Emotional regulation and managing intensity without shutdown or burnout
Building rhythms, routines, and flexible systems that actually stick
Making decisions without spiralling or overthinking
Healing from the frustration and self-doubt that can build up after years of negative feedback
Navigating relationships with more clarity and less guilt
Habit change that works with your wiring, not against it
And yes, we can talk about planning - but I promise I won’t ask if you’ve tried making a list!
Why It’s a Blend of Counselling & Coaching
Because many ADHDers don’t just need “productivity tips.”
You might also need to work through the self-criticism, rejection sensitivity, or emotional exhaustion that comes from years of masking or not quite meeting expectations.
So our sessions blend:
Practical tools,
Emotional support, and
Strategies you can keep using well beyond our work together.

It's a blend of counselling and coaching, because many ADHDers don't just need productivity tips. You might also need to work through the self-criticism, rejection sensitivity, or emotional exhaustion that comes from years of masking or not quite meeting expectations. Sessions blend practical tools, emotional support, and strategies you can keep using well beyond our work together.

Both. Coaching alone can miss the emotional weight that often comes with ADHD; counselling alone can miss the practical, day-to-day strategy piece. I work across both, so you get tools that stick, backed by support for what's underneath them.
-
No - you don't need a diagnosis to start. If you're anything like me, and many of my clients, you might already suspect ADHD or be waiting on assessment; we can work with that while you sort out a formal diagnosis if you want one.
-
No - as a Clinical Counsellor, diagnosis isn't within my scope. If you want a formal diagnosis, I can point you toward other supports who assess for ADHD; what I can offer is ongoing, practical support for the day-to-day impact of ADHD, whether or not you're formally diagnosed.
-
Generic counselling often assumes a brain that works in a fairly linear, predictable way - ADHD brains don't always work like that. And productivity coaching alone can miss the self-criticism and rejection sensitivity that often sits underneath ADHD struggles. I work with both sides together.
-
Yes! This is a big part of my work. A lot of clients are only diagnosed as adults, often after years of wondering why things that seem easy for other people feel so hard.
-
Yes - anxiety and ADHD often feed into each other, and I work with both together rather than treating them separately.
-
Yes - many of my clients are parents navigating their own ADHD while also raising ADHD kids. We can work on your own strategies and self-compassion, as well as how to parent in a way that works with your child's brain, not against it.
-
I work with older teens and adults - I find this age group responds particularly well to the kind of counselling and coaching I offer. For younger kids, I provide support by working with parents on strategies that support their child at home.

This comes up a lot, and it can be hard to find the words when you're also living it. We can work through specific moments that keep causing friction - maybe it's forgotten tasks, zoning out mid-conversation, or the emotional overwhelm that looks like "overreacting" from the outside - and unpack what's actually happening for you in those moments. From there, we work out how to explain it in a way that makes sense to your partner, plus practical tools for the conversations that tend to go sideways, rather than leaving them with a list of symptoms that doesn't quite land.
-
It's common for one parent to feel more attuned to an ADHD child's needs than the other, which can create real tension - especially around the specific flashpoints, like meltdowns, homework battles, or one of you feeling like the other is "too soft" or "too strict." We can dig into what's actually driving those moments for your child, plus build some practical tools you can both use in the moment, so you and your partner are responding to the same understanding of what's going on, rather than two different interpretations of the same behaviour.
